About Us

Background

The Huron Perth Agricultural Science Centre began in 2020 when a feasibility study was completed by Lord Cultural Resources on behalf of The Municipality of North Perth. In 2021, a non-profit organization was formed, and in 2022 gained charitable status. In 2023 a strategic plan was developed and Process Curiosity, a firm with expertise in this field, was contracted to review the initial feasibility study, update the business plan, and identify development needs. At that time, we recognized the project’s potential to extend beyond Huron and Perth counties to a provincial scope, at minimum. We are now excited to introduce the Ontario Agri-Food Discovery Centre to the broader public, along with The Municipality of North Perth committing 10 acres of serviced land to the project. In 2025 we plan to release new concept drawings before launching a Capital Campaign.
